An Enchanting Mabon Ceremony: Embracing Balance and Gratitude

As the sun sets on the evening of March 20th, the air in Clyde North hums with anticipation. It is Mabon, the autumnal equinox, a sacred time when day and night stand in harmonious balance. This night, five spirited women gather to celebrate the bounty of the earth and honour the transition of the seasons.

Ceremony Overview:

Date & Time: March 20th, 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Location: A cozy, candlelit space in Clyde North, adorned with autumn leaves, fruits, and seasonal flowers

Rituals for the Evening:

Circle of Gratitude:

   As the gathering begins, we will form a circle, holding hands under the soft glow of flickering candles. Each lady takes a turn to express gratitude for the blessings they have received in the past year. This sharing fosters connection and sets a tone of appreciation for the abundance in their lives.

Harvest Offering:

   A symbolic offering table is set up, adorned with seasonal fruits, nuts, and grains. Each woman brings an item that represents her personal harvest—be it a physical object, a written intention, or a heartfelt wish. Together, they place these offerings on the table, creating a vibrant tapestry of shared intentions, ready to be released into the universe.

Balancing Elements Ritual:

   To honour  the equinox, the group engages in a ritual that focuses on balancing the energies of light and dark. Each woman selects an item that represents either the sun (light) or the moon (dark), such as a sunflower or a piece of obsidian. They take turns sharing how they plan to incorporate balance into their lives. With each sharing, they light a corresponding candle, illuminating the space with warmth and intention.

Nature Walk and Reflection:

   As the evening deepens, the group embarks on a short, mindful  meditation walk under the twilight sky imagery. Where you have the energy to  take in the scents of autumn, listen to the rustling leaves, and feel the cool breeze. Each woman reflects on her connection to nature and how it nurtures her spirit. This intimate moment allows them to absorb the magic of Mabon and the wisdom of the earth.

Closing Ceremony: Release and Renewal:

   Returning to their circle, the women prepare to release what no longer serves them. Each lady writes down a fear, doubt, or negative thought on a piece of paper. As they gather around a small fire or candle, they take turns reading their words aloud before offering them to the flames, symbolising transformation and renewal.  We close the ceremony with a shared affirmation, welcoming the new season with open hearts.

As the clock ticks towards 10 PM, the energy in the room is palpable—a blend of warmth, camaraderie, and spiritual connection.
